The Sideways is a strange new zone in Fortnite Season 8, and one of the punch card quests for Torin requires that players complete a Sideway encounter. This is much easier said than done, and this challenge was for many players now, as the season is live, frustrating. How to close a lateral encounter in Fortnite
To complete a side encounter, you do not have to go to the huge orange bubble marked on the card with an orange circle. Instead, they have to go to the smaller purple symbols that look like cracks. There are several of them per game, so simply select those who are closest to your favorite drop spot. These smaller symbols are the right one for the challenge, not the big side zone that floats over a named place in every game.
As soon as you reach a side encounter, the violet tear expands and creates a small side bubble. The game will give you a new goal: push the page back. Now it is up to you to eliminate enough cube monsters to fill the yellow display on top of the screen. As soon as the bar is filled, the Sideway encounter is completed.
Be warned, with these encounters there are many dice monsters. Make sure you have sufficiently good weapons and adequate firepower to record it with hordes of enemies. You can also record Sideways weapons from chests in the encounter, but do not rely too much on them. It is also recommended to complete this challenge in a group. In this way, you can do the quest quickly and do not have to worry about an annoying factor.
If you need too long to fill the strip, the Sideway encounter will be terminated prematurely. To avoid this, you should not shoot too long on the dice monsters. A boss opponent will appear during the fight, but do not worry. Kill the cube monsters to complete the encounter. If you leave them alone too long, the bubble closes and lose them. Fortunately, the bar fills himself pretty fast. Just focus on the normal enemies and everything will be fine.
Also, remember that you are not in a private area if you have to do with a lateral encounter. Just like in the main zone Sideways on the map other players can go straight into the bubble and shoot them on them. This can be particularly frustrating if you are about to complete the encounter, so be careful with potential intruders. This is a particularly annoying challenge, but fortunately you just have to do once. With enough luck it should only take one or two attempts.
