The example of the new seer hero in Apex Legends reveals an unpleasant trend in the PVP Shooters: Legal Traps as Wallhacks that are sold as skills. But the author of Wallhack skills and fan of shots, Jürgen Horn, think: It's still like cheating and nobody needs it!
What kind of traps are you talking about? The theme that excites me at this moment are the skills and elements of the competitive shooters that give you advantages in the game that work similarly to tricks and tricks . The features that can be used as the so-called Wallhacks are particularly common here.
Wallhacks are traps with which fraudulent players can see the opponents through the walls or reveal them in the minimap. Virtually everything that gives you an advantage in the game by revealing and clearing the opponents without much effort and thus be able to determine its exact position.
Everyone hates Wallhacks, but if a hero can do it, is it okay?
In what games is this a problem? In contrast to the clearly illegal hacks that allow you to look through the walls, many shooters now offer elements or skills that implement such advantages as part of the mechanics of the game. Next, some recent examples are displayed:
- In Apex Legends, the Bloodhound heroes and the new Seer character can see the opponents with skills through the walls and even mark them for the whole team.
- In Valorant there are several heroes that reveal the opponents through the walls or reveal them differently.
- Cod has several recognition drones that reveal enemies on the map, as well as an advantage that shows enemies through the walls if you have hit them at least once.
- In Overwatch, Widowmaker and Hanzo can detect enemies through the walls.
You can see clearly: Wallhack skills are a tendency that almost no shooter can escape.
Sova in Valorant can not only see you through the walls, you can also kill you with the Ultimate!
What can you do about it? I would like to be honest if you did not have those Wallhacks and other skills and elements similar to traps in competitive shooters. If it is absolutely necessary, these skills should have a very short effect or have very long recovery times.
This is what happened recently in Apex Legends, because the new hero who really had such detection and Wallhack skills and many fans were angry. Since the last patch of mid-August, the recovery times of their skills are now higher in all areas and skills are less effective. However, a pure Wallhack Hero should not have entered into play first.

Fortunately, Apex developers now have seen it and have communicated it on Twitter. I hope you have learned the lesson and soon other games were rethought as well.
What is your opinion on the subject? Do you think those pirates have the right to exist or think like me and say: That should leave, that is clearly a trap!?
The cheating monitors are also controversial that give you a point of sight where there should be none.
